At Firstborn, nothing trumps the happiness and well-being of our people. Literally, nothing—projects, deadlines, awards, clients, or revenue.
That’s why recent recognitions from two of the most respected and renowned industry establishments have us high-fiving all over our TriBeCa office—2014 Best Place to Work in Advertising by Advertising Age and 2014 Best Place to Work in New York City by Crain’s New York. These distinctions mean we’re doing something right, as each are determined by assessing survey results from our own employees and then comparing those against thousands of other companies both within our fair city and across the country.
This is Firstborn’s first time being recognized as a Best Place to Work by Advertising Age. The publication bases their selection of honorees on criteria such as salaries, office perks, benefits packages, workplace environment and design. Advertising Age is recognized as the leading global source of news, analysis and intelligence for the marketing and media community. The 84-year-old publisher produces more than 15 original rankings each year, including the Agency A-List, which Firstborn was named to in 2009, and the Agencies To Watch List, which included Firstborn in 2013.
Our Crain’s New York Best Places to Work honor represents our second recognition in the program’s seven-year history, after also being named to the 2011 roster. Like Advertising Age’s process, assessment is comprised of both an employer survey detailing workplace policies and benefits (25% of the total score) and an employee survey that evaluates personal workplace experiences and opinions (75% of the total score).
