Senior Producer

Firstborn is currently looking for a Senior Producer for their New York office.
In this role, your duties will focus on working closely with the team of other producers, as well as our Chief Creative Officer and Chief Technology Officer, where you will be responsible for guiding the development of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and at the highest level of quality.
You will also work closely with Firstborn’s business development team to identify and determine scope, timing and budget for potential projects. You’ll maintain schedules, communicate progress and status on multiple projects, coordinate people and resources, identify challenges and recommend solutions. 

Key Duties

  • Create and manage project timelines to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time and within budget 
  • Manage production teams and the process on all jobs from a top level and serve as an escalation point for client and internal issues as they arise 
  • Involved in all project kick off meetings to help determine team strategy, milestones, scope and production schedule 
  • Develop working relationships with clients on a regular basis, ensuring clients’ understanding of each project and satisfaction with the production processes 
  • Conduct resource and requirement gathering meetings with client along with technical director and business development team 
  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of each member involved on any particular job 
  • Supervise QA process alongside technical and production teams 
  • Communicate project production status directly to upper management department 
  • Help build, develop and encourage new ‘production processes’ for our designers, developers, producers in order to accommodate expansion of the company services and the new types of work we bring in 
  • Identify project scope and write proposals 
  • Strategic project planning and basic information architecture on large-scale projects 
  • Facilitate communication between clients, 3rd party vendors and internal staff 
  • Anticipate obstacles and address them with the team in a proactive manner 
  • Be a skilled, creative and confident presenter and negotiator 
  • Must Have

  • At least 4 years of hands on project management / producing experience in the interactive field 
  • Experience in building solid long term client relationships 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Knowledge of common software such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, etc. 
  • Ability to manage a project from start to finish as well as overseeing general production of multiple projects at one time
