Firstborn is looking for a Program Director to help lead client management for AOR (and/or potential AOR) clients in our New York office.
In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact for senior level clients, working with them to define the brand’s digital strategy, creating and managing yearly roadmaps and ensuring project teams are working towards aligning with the larger goals and objectives set forth in that plan. To do this, you’ll need to be immersed in your client’s business, understanding their brand and their unique set of business challenges. Through this, you will build and foster strong client relationships and look for new opportunities within the business.
The person we’re looking for will work closely with the internal executive team assigned to the account – Strategy, Creative, Studio and Development teams – as well as with an Executive Producer who will oversee all production for on-time and on-budget deliveries. Both the EP and PD will partner together to ensure all initiatives are set-up for success and tie back to the larger brand goals and objectives.
It will be your responsibility to help identify and manage yearly retainer budgets, and identify new opportunities based on your understanding of the client’s business, their needs and their consumer. To do this you will bring insights to the executive team on the business and work together to develop Creative Briefs to act upon proactively – pitching the work we feel will truly move their business forward.
You will be responsible for large-scale, year-long engagements that require attention to detail, experienced client management and regular communication of progress.
Key Duties In-depth understanding of your client’s business and digital landscapeWork with our AOR clients to plan yearly roadmaps and/or year-long projectsWork with core AOR internal team to find ways of being proactive in presenting new ideas and creating opportunities for additional client work Manage yearly calendars as well as project timelinesHelp determine team strategy, milestones, scope and scheduleDevelop and build working relationships with clientsConduct resourcing / planning meetings to adjust staffing as needed based on incoming and proactive opportunitiesIdentify project scope and write proposalsCommunicate relationship and project status on a regular basisFacilitate communication between clients, FB staff and third-party partners
Must Have At least 6+ years in account/client managementExperience in building solid long-term client relationshipsStrategic in identifying opportunities and bringing those to surface for the agencyKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Keynote and SmartSheet/MS Project a plusAbility to oversee multiple projects and brand initiatives at one timeBe a confident presenter and negotiatorDigital production knowledge or experience a plus but not necessaryExperience managing financial services accounts is also a plus.
